On 28 August 2010 the Bris­bane Con­tem­por­ary Jazz Orches­tra will be present­ing a two set his­tory of big band music, cov­er­ing the music from the Golden Age of big band up to the present day. You’ll hear music by Harry James, Artie Shaw, Benny Good­man, Buddy Rich, Michel Cam­ilo and Gor­don Goodwin.

This is a great chance for ABODA mem­bers to exper­i­ence the vari­ous styles they might be teach­ing at school, and hear them played by a ver­sat­ile and tech­nic­ally pro­fi­cient ensemble.
